Genome-Wide Identification and Molecular Evolution of the Magnesium Transporter (MGT) Gene Family in Citrullus lanatus and Cucumis sativus

نویسندگان

چکیده

Magnesium transporters (MGTs) play a prominent role in the absorption, transportation, and storage of magnesium plant cells. In present study, MGT gene family members were identified characterized into two species Cucurbitaceae, including Cucumis sativus Citrullus lanatus. Totals 20 19 genes recognized lanatus sativus, respectively. According to their physicochemical properties, each sub-class MGTs Cucurbitaceae showed close relationship. Proteins from NIPA class as hydrophilic proteins with high stability. Based on phylogenetic analysis, classified three groups, NIPAs more diversity. Moreover, duplication events not between C. sativus. pocket residues such L, V, S, I, A frequently observed binding sites both studied species. The prediction post-translation modifications revealed that MSR2 have higher phosphorylation potentials than other sub-classes plants. expression profile are expressed root tissues. addition, differential response abiotic/biotic stresses well hormone application induced stimuli watermelon. results this primary work family, can be used programs related breeding.

Genome-wide identification, characterization, and expression analysis of the MLO gene family in Cucumis sativus.

Mildew resistance locus o (MLO) is a plant-specific seven-transmembrane (TM) gene family. Several studies have revealed that certain members of the MLO gene family mediate powdery mildew susceptibility in three plant species, namely, Arabidopsis, barley, and tomato. The sequenced cucumber genome provides an opportunity to conduct a comprehensive overview of the MLO gene family. Fourteen genes (...

Genome-Wide Identification and Characterization of R2R3MYB Family in Cucumis sativus

BACKGROUND The R2R3MYB proteins comprise one of the largest families of transcription factors in plants. Although genome-wide analysis of this family has been carried out in some species, little is known about R2R3MYB genes in cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.). PRINCIPAL FINDINGS This study has identified 55 R2R3MYB genes in the latest cucumber genome and the CsR2R3MYB family contained the smalle...

Genome-wide and molecular evolution analysis of the Poplar KT/HAK/KUP potassium transporter gene family

As the largest K(+) transport gene family, KT/HAK/KUP family plays an important role in plant growth, development, and stress adaptation. However, there is limited information about this family in woody plant species. In this study, with genome-wide in-depth investigation, 31 Poplar KT/HAK/KUP transporter genes including six pairs of tandem duplicated and eight pairs of segmental duplicated par...

Genome-wide identification and analysis of the SGR gene family in Cucumis melo L.

Chlorophyll (CHL) is present in many plant organs, and its metabolism is strongly regulated throughout plant development. Understanding the fate of CHL in senescent leaves or during fruit ripening is a complex process. The stay-green (SGR) protein has been shown to affect CHL degradation. In this study, we used the conserved sequences of STAY-GREEN domain protein (NP_567673) in Arabidopsis thal...
